The licence covering the Iris Code plugin distributed through the JetBrains Marketplace. Last updated July 27, 2026.
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and David Jaja, the developer and licensor of the Iris Code plugin ("Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the Plugin, you agree to this Agreement.
JetBrains s.r.o. and its affiliates are not parties to this Agreement. JetBrains provides the JetBrains Marketplace and is not responsible for the Plugin or its support.
"Plugin" means the Iris Code plugin for IntelliJ-based IDEs, including updates made available by the Developer. "JetBrains Product" means an IDE or other software product made available by JetBrains. "Documentation" means the current Iris Code documentation available through iriscode.co or the JetBrains Marketplace listing.
"Services" means Iris Code account, licensing, subscription, advisory lookup, configuration sync, and related online services used by the Plugin.
Subject to this Agreement, the Developer grants you a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the Plugin with JetBrains Products for personal or internal business purposes.
You may make reasonable backup copies for archival purposes. The license for free Plugin functionality is perpetual unless terminated under this Agreement. Access to Pro functionality lasts only while you have a valid Iris Code entitlement.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, sublicense, resell, rent, or distribute the Plugin; create derivative works from it; circumvent license or access controls; use it to develop a competing product; or use it unlawfully.
You may not share an Iris Code license key or account entitlement with an unauthorised person. Third-party software included with or required by the Plugin remains subject to its applicable license terms.
The Plugin includes functionality offered at no cost and may provide access to Pro functionality through a separate Iris Code subscription. Pricing, billing, account management, and service-specific terms are described in the Iris Code Terms of Service at https://iriscode.co/terms.
The Developer may change, add, or remove features and may release updates when reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or product development.
The Plugin is licensed, not sold. The Developer and applicable licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Plugin, Iris Code branding, and related intellectual property. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in this Agreement.
Your source code, projects, and analysis inputs remain yours. The Developer does not acquire ownership of content you analyse with the Plugin.
Source-code analysis runs locally. The Plugin does not upload source code, file contents, or project structure for analysis.
The Plugin may make limited network requests for sign-in, licensing, configuration sync, optional product-use events, and consent-gated dependency or advisory lookups. Personal-data handling is described in the Iris Code Privacy Policy at https://iriscode.co/privacy.
The Developer, not JetBrains, is responsible for Plugin maintenance and support. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through support@iriscode.co and https://iriscode.co/support.
The Developer does not guarantee a particular response time, uninterrupted availability, or compatibility with every JetBrains Product or version.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Plugin and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, or availability.
Static-analysis results are informational and must not be treated as the sole basis for security, legal, compliance, or production decisions. The Developer does not warrant that every issue will be detected or that every finding will be correct.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Plugin or Services.
The Developer's aggregate liability arising from this Agreement or the Plugin will not exceed the fees you paid for the Plugin through JetBrains Marketplace during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. JetBrains' liability is excluded because JetBrains is not a party to this Agreement.
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Plugin and ceasing its use. The Developer may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach this Agreement.
On termination, you must stop using and delete copies of the Plugin. Sections concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and terms that by their nature should survive will remain effective.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. This Agreement, together with applicable Iris Code service terms, is the complete agreement concerning the Plugin.
Questions about this Agreement or the Plugin may be sent to David Jaja at support@iriscode.co.
